Present Indefinite ( Simple)

Употребляется

- для обозначения действия, которое совершается постоянно, является обычным, повторяющимся

- для обозначения общеизвестных истин.

Употребляется со следующим наречиями

-often, usually, generally, never, seldom, always, occasionally

e.g. I study at the university.

The earth goes round the sun.

Для образования вопросительной и отрицательной формы употребляется вспомогательный глагол do/ does ( для 3-го лица ед. числа)

Do I/we/you/ they study ? I/ we/ you/ they do not study

Does he/ she/it He/ she/ it does not study

Past Indefinite (Simple) Tense.

Употребляется

- для выражения законченного действия или события в прошлом

- повторяющихся действий в прошлом

- повествования в прошлом

Показателями являются:

Yesterday, last week, last month, last time, ago

Образуется при помощи окончания - ed- правильные глаголы, неправильные - 2-я форма.

Did --- вспомогательный глагол для образования вопросительной и отрицательной формы.

e. g. They graduated university last year.

Did they graduate university last year?

They did not graduate university last year.

The producer made a performance last week.

Did the producer make a performance last week

The producer did not make a performance last week.
