A) Тільки третину прибутків від внутрішнього туризму в країні контролюють держава та ліцензований турбізнес
За даними Світової туристичної організації, сумарний обсяг ринку туризму в грошовому обчисленні еквівалентний 15% світового валового продукту, у структурі світової торгівлі послугами частка туризму становить 30%. А за прибутковістю туризм посідає друге місце після видобутку й переробки нафти. Це вже давно зрозуміли українці, які живуть у курортних областях. Держава визнає свою неспроможність у галузі внутрішнього туризму. У листопаді минулого року Держслужба туризму й курортів, підводячи підсумки туристичного сезону 2007 року на «круглому столі» в Міністерстві культури й туризму, зазначила в підсумковому звіті, що «туризм в Україні розвивається недостатньо: немає інформаційного поля, немає чіткої стабілізації в туристичній галузі». Там же прозвучав у цілому тривіальний висновок про те, що турфірми в основному заробляють гроші за рахунок відправлення українських туристів до Туреччини та Єгипту.
Деякі висновки міністерство вже зробило. 2008 року з бюджетних коштів на рекламну кампанію України як туристичного об'єкта буде витрачено 20 млн. грн. Цього замало, визнають у Держслужбі, Туреччина на рекламу своїх курортів щорічно виділяє $100 млн., але в попередні роки такої статті в держбюджеті взагалі не було.
Не всі упевнені в ефективності рекламної кампанії за державні гроші. Наприклад, на думку президента турфірми «Гамалія» Ігоря Голубахи, для України «нема сенсу себе рекламувати, оскільки нам нічого запропонувати». «Так, у нас гарна природа, гостинні люди, але в нас розбиті дороги й страшні аеропорти. А гідні умови проживання є тільки в Києві та у двох-трьох містах-мільйонниках. Одна надія на Євро-2012», — зауважив він. У компанії пана Голубахи частка внутрішнього туризму становить 40%, Але перелік напрямків уже багато років не розширюється — люди як їздили, так і продовжують їздити до Києва, у Крим, Карпати, Трускавець і Кам'янець-По-дільський. Пан Голубаха вважає, що головна причина стагнації галузі — не- виправдано завищені ціни в готелях.
6. Every region in Ukraine is famous for its nature, culture, monuments, landscape and hospitality of people. Make a project for the tourists to attract them to your own region. Persuade them that your region is unique and really worth visiting.
