Завдання 1. В кожному реченні:

а) знайдіть сполучники і сполучникові слова та перекладіть їх;

б) знайдіть присудки головного і підрядного речення та визначіть характер їх узгодження: одночасність, передування, наступність;

в) випишіть підмет і присудок кожного речення та перекладіть їх українською мовою.

1. The physiocrats argued that the products of agriculture and other natural resources were the true sources of wealth. 2. Producers know that if they don’t satisfy consumer demand, their competitors will. 3. Because workers were underpaid, Marx went on, they would be unable to buy goods and services which they produced. 4. The heart of Smith’s economic philosophy was his belief that the economy would work best if left to function without government regulation. 5. It simply says that when money wages fall, prices too will fall to the same extent. 6. When taxes are reduced, individuals and business firms will have more money available to spend for the things which they want.

Завдання 2.Перекладіть речення, поділене на словосполучення та незалежні слова, українською мовою. Поясніть, чому словоtoв цьому реченні не може бутичасткою to.

Завдання 3. Перекладіть речення українською мовою за алгоритмом.

If world economic growth continues to average about two percent annually, nearly half the world’s people will live in countries where population growth exceeds economic growth.

Наказовий спосіб дієслова

Дієслово у наказовому способі виражає наказ, прохання чи дозвіл.

Форма наказового способу утворюється за допомогою слова let + займенник в орудному відмінку + інфінітив без частки «to» для усіх осіб (крім ІІ особи однини і множини (you), форма якої повністю співпадає з інфінітивом без часткиto).

Заперечна форма наказового способу утворюється за допомогою частки «not», яка стоїть перед інфінітивом.

Примітка. *Слово «let» не лише бере участь у творенні наказового способу, але й може бути повнозначним дієсловом:

to let — дозволяти:

I let you read — Я дозволяю тобі читати I don’t let you read — Я не дозволяю тобі читати

Вправа 46.Знайдіть форми наказового способу та перекладіть речення українською мовою.
