Managerial ethics
Managerial ethics are standards of conduct used by managers of
organizations in carrying out their functions.
Though there are no hard – and – fast rules for every possible situation there are a few common sense guidelines that can be helpful in achieving business objectives that involve making a profit and engaging in legal and ethical behaviour simultaneously. These rules are: obey the law, tell the truth, do not harm, stick to the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

Unethical or immoral management not only lacks ethical principles but is characterized by exclusive concern on company profits at any price.

Human resource management
Human resource management (formerly known as personnel management) is concerned with the effective use of people
s skills.
The first step in staffing an organization is human resource planning as the organization must determine the number and the types of workers that will be required.
After completing the job analysis and preparing a job description the human resource department (HR) starts hiring qualified people. Recruiters may find proper candidates within the organization or outside.

Personnel management deals also with directing and encouraging the employees’ career development.

Production management
The aim of production management is to ensure that goods are produced
or a service is provided to the satisfaction of a customer at the right price, of the right quality, in the right quantity and on time.
Production management is also called operations management. The responsibility of production management can be summarized by the
five M’s:
- men refer to human resources,
- machines – to equipment and technology,
- methods – to the use of the machines,
- materials – to raw materials and information,
- money – to capital.
