Учебное пособие «System analyses and control» предназначено для студен-
тов третьего и четвертого курсов направления подготовки 27.03.03 «Системный
анализ и управление». Цель учебного пособия – развитие профессиональной
иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции студентов. Работа с предлагаемым
учебным пособием даст студентам возможность совершенствовать профессиональную компоненту образования в области системного анализа и управления
при изучении дисциплины «Иностранный язык для профессиональных целей».
Данное учебное пособие также может быть использовано студентами других

ПРЕДИСЛОВИЕ
Учебное пособие «System analyses and control» призвано обеспечить
формирование и развитие профессионально ориентированной иноязычной
коммуникативной компетенции студентов 3 и 4 курсов бакалавриата
направления подготовки 27.03.03 «Системный анализ и управление».
Разработанное авторами учебное пособие написано с учетом рабочей программы дисциплины «Иностранный язык для профессиональной
коммуникации» и предназначено как для индивидуальной и групповой работы в аудитории, так и для самостоятельной работы студентов.
Пособие содержит 6 тематических разделов (Unites): What Is A Sys-
tem? General Systems Theory (GST), System Life Cycle, Decision Making, Automatic Control Theory, Software Development Tools and Technologies. Каж-
дый раздел состоит из следующих подразделов: Lead In – вводная часть,
знакомящая студентов с проблематикой раздела. Pronunciation – тренировка потенциально трудных для студентов фонетических явлений. Word
Study – работа с определениями основных терминов раздела. Word Building – знакомство со средствами и способами словообразования в англий-
ском языке. Grammar Focus – тренинг основных грамматических явлений
раздела. Specialist Reading A, B – чтение оригинальных текстов по проблематике раздела. Все тексты являются аутентичными, они сокращены, но не
адаптированы. Language in Use – выполнение лексических заданий.
Сomprehension Сheck – выполнение упражнений, направленных на контроль понимания прочитанного текста. Подразделы Speaking и Writing содержат упражнения для развития навыков устной и письменной речи, целью которых является развитие творческого мышления студентов, которые
получат мотивацию для дальнейшего изучения и критического осмысления
обсуждаемых проблем. Подраздел Supplementary Reading предлагает тексты, содержание которых может помочь студентам в выполнении заданий
из подразделов Speaking и Writing. В конце пособия дается подлежащий
усвоению студентами лексический минимум для каждого раздела, а также
грамматический справочник.

The following words and phrases will help you to understand the text.
4. Can you guess the meaning of each term from the context? Try to
match each term with its definition.
1. A system is a community situated within an environment.
2. Hydrogen is one by-product of that chemical reaction.
3. In a closed system inputs are determined once and constant; in an open

SUFFIX "-able" (“-ible”)
"-able" is a suffix that forms adjectives from verbs and nouns. It expresses
ability, capacity, fitness; capable of, fit for, able to be done, can be done, capable
of being done. e.g. enjoyable = that which can be enjoyed; comfortable = giving
comfort.
