Task 3. Use the verb in brackets in Present Simple or in Present Continuous.
e.g. We (translate) a technical text now.

1.He is a night watchman. He (work) at night and (sleep) in the daytime.
2.My wife has never been to France. She (plan) to go there next summer.

Времена группы Perfect/Perfect Continuous
Present Perfect (настоящее совершенное)
Применяют в следующих ситуациях:
-для обозначения действия, которое завершено в прошлом, но связано с настоящим посредством результата.
I have finished my home task, so now we can go for a run (Я закончил с домашним заданием, так что сейчас можем пойти на пробежку);
-для характеристики действия, которое началось в прошлом, но продолжается и в настоящий момент I have lived in this area for 2 years (Я живу в этом районе 2 года).
Временные маркеры Present Perfect:
·never (никогда);
·just (только что);
·already (уже);
·yet (еще);
·ever (когда-либо).
Вспомогательный глагол Present Perfect: have/has
В утвердительных и отрицательных формах его можно сократить: have -->
‘ve, has --> ’s; have not --> haven’t, has not --> hasn’t
! Обращаем внимание на: 3 форму неправильных глаголов и окончание -ed в правильных

Past Perfect (прошедшее совершенное)
Относится к действиям, завершенным до какого-то действия в прошлом. Примеры:
-The rain had stopped before she woke up (Дождь завершился до того, как она проснулась);
-By that time they had finished their work (К тому времени они закончили свою работу).
Временные маркеры Past Perfect (имеются в виду прошедшие события)
·by that time (к тому времени);
·by Monday (к понедельнику).
Вспомогательный глагол Past Perfect: had
В отрицательных формах его можно сократить: had not --> hadn’t

Future Perfect (будущее совершенное)
Описывает действие, завершающееся к определенному моменту в будущем. Случаи использования этого времени:
•когда мы говорим о действии, которое должно закончиться к определенному времени в будущем. I will have finished my essay by 4 pm tonight
(Я закончу свое эссе к 4 часам вечера);
•когда мы думаем, что действие, скорее всего, должно было завершиться к определенному моменту в будущем. They will have gone to their second class by now (Они уже сходили бы на второе занятие).
Временные маркеры Future Perfect (говорим о будущем)
·by that time (к тому времени);
·by Sunday (к понедельнику);
·by 2050 (к 2050).

Present Perfect Continuous (настоящее совершенное продолженное)
Описывает действие, начавшееся в прошлом и продолжающееся на момент речи или завершившееся длительное действие, результат которого влияет на настоящее.
Примеры:
-I have been working for 6 hours already (Я уже работаю 6 часов);
-I’m sleepy! We’ve been working all night. (Я хочу спать! Мы работали всю ночь)
Временные маркеры Present Perfect Continuous:
·for a week (в течение недели);
·since morning (с утра);
·lately (в последнее время);
·all my life (всю мою жизнь) и т. п.

Past Perfect Continuous (прошедшее совершенное продолженное)
Описывает процесс до определенного момента в прошлом. ‘I had been working on my assignment for 2 hours when my flatmate
came’ (Я работал над своим заданием (уже) 2 часа, когда пришел мой сосед)
Временные маркеры Past Perfect Continuous:
·for six months (в течение 6 месяцев);
·for a long time (в течение долгого времени);
·since 7 o'clock (с 7-ми часов) и т. п.

Встречается реже всего и употребляется, когда мы описываем продолжительное действие, которое начнется в будущем и будет происходить до определенного момента.
He will have been skiing in Switzerland for a week when she joins him (Он будет кататься на лыжах в Швейцарии целую неделю, когда она присоединится к нему.)
