Trade shows are also economical ways of getting sales. One of the main benefits of visiting an exhibition is that it is an opportunity for you to meet hundreds of key business people under one roof and network: with the exhibitors, other visitors and expert speakers. This can be valuable to a small business as it saves you time setting up meetings around the country or calling hundreds of companies individually. It is common for business owners to get stuck in a rut, an exhibition is the chance for people to get out of the office and gain some fresh ideas and inspiration from other companies about how to expand your business. There is also the opportunity to meet new suppliers face to face which will particularly interest those visitors who are new to an industry.

Keynote speakers and seminars at an exhibition could be crucial to your company. It is worth taking some time out from the day to be inspired by what the experts have to say about their field and how they got there. Plan in advance what seminars relate to your company and make a note of the timings so you don’t miss them!

TRADE EXHIBITIONS AND FAIRS

Trade fairs and exhibitions usually attract thousands of visitors and many potential buyers among them. So foreign trade associations of Russia never lose a chance to exhibit their products at international fairs and exhibitions both abroad and at home. They help promote our goods to new markets and launch new products in the markets already developed.

A great deal of profitable business is done at commercial centres at the exhibitions: new contacts are made, new transactions are concluded, new orders are placed and new markets are established.

This work goes on after the exhibitions as well: enquiries are sent out for the goods our national economy requires and offers are made for the products our new contacts are interested in.

There are traditional fairs and exhibitions that are held annually, for example the Leipzig fair that is organized twice a year - in spring and in autumn in Germany, the Plovdiv fair in Bulgaria, or the Nizhegorodskaya fair in Nizhnii Novgorod.

Also, there are fairs and exhibitions organized on and off and devoted to scientific achievements in this or that field of national economy. They are called accordingly: "Chemistry-2017", "Au- tomation-2017", “Building-2017” “Electronics-2017”, etc.

53

About 200 international fairs and exhibitions are held in various cities Russia every year.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is responsible for organizing fairs and exhibitions in this country and arranging participation of our associations and enterprises in fairs and exhibitions abroad through VO "Expocentr". There are a lot of specialized exhibitions such as "Mining-2017 and the like.
