понимать основную терминологию языка, представленную в текстах и переводить ее;
осуществлять адекватный или описательный письменный и устный перевод профессионального и делового аутентичного текста;
участвовать в обсуждении текста (задавать вопросы и отвечать на вопросы);
знать речевые обороты, клише, устойчивые выражения деловой направленности;
a) технология использования компьютерных программ – позволяет эффективно дополнить процесс обучения языку на всех уровнях. Мультимедийные программы предназначены как для аудиторной, так и самостоятельной работы студентов и направлены на овладение отдельных разделов системы языка, формирование речевых умений, развитие аудитивных, грамматических и лексических навыков, самоконтроль владения языком, расширение лингвострановедческих и культурологических знаний о культуре изучаемого языка;

These short English conversations focus on telephoning in English. Here are five common situations used when telephoning in English. To begin with, each situation first presents the entire telephoning English conversation. Next, each situation has two separate versions with either caller 1 or caller 2 left blank. These telephoning English conversations can be used in the following ways:
Use the entire telephoning English conversation in pairs to practice the situations.
Use the separate telephoning English conversations with your role. The other role is taken away so that you can listen to your partner more carefully.
Use the telephoning English conversations without your role once you have used the role plays a number of times. This will help you memorize common phrases used in typical telephoning English situations.
Feel free to print out these telephoning English situations for use in class, or share the telephoning conversations with your friends online. For example, you could call your friend on Skype, navigate to a telephoning English practice page and practice together by each taking a role, exchanging roles, and practicing a few times.

A Business English Role-play
Purpose and Audience:
The purpose of these materials is to give students business practice introducing their business/profession including what they do, what their specialty is, where they are based, and where they have offices.
Warm-up:
After your introduction, write the names of a few well-known local corporations on the board and ask the students to tell you about them. If the information is minimal, ask them what the company specializes in and where they are based. Then introduce phrases such as «specialize in», «based out of», and «have offices in». Depending on your students' abilities and your time you can introduce other phrases such as «listed on the NYSE», «employs 30 people», etc
Class Set-up and Activity:
Set up the class like «airplane seating» with two rows of chairs side by side. Give everybody an activity sheet and a business profile. Give the students time to read the business profiles and the dialogue in the activity sheet. The vocabulary in the profiles can be difficult so make sure they understand it. You can deal with questions individually or answer them on the board for everybody to see (for example, What is a purchasing agent?). Now model the dialogue with one student by putting the student in a chair and then asking if the next chair is empty.
In the role-play, half the students are sitting down with an empty chair beside them. The other half of the students approach the sitting students and ask if the chairs are taken, then sit down and introduce their business. Then the stu-
68
dents who were sitting down introduce their business in return. Both groups of students record their partners' details on the activity sheet. After the exchange of information has been made, one student gets up and finds a new seat and continues the role-play.
