4\ Skin and Subcutaneous

Tissue Sonogram in the Face

of the Young Women

Fig. 14.4  Skin and subcutaneous tissue sonogram in the face of the young women

(1) Skin, (2) Dermis, (3) Subcutaneous, (4) Zygomaticus muscles, and (5) Zygomaticus bone.

4.1\ Method

Probe is transversely placed on the face. A large number of the coupling agents are smeared between the transducer and skin.

4.2\ Section Structure

(1) Epidermis, (2) Dermis, (3) Subcutaneous, (4) Zygomaticus muscles, and (5) Zygomaticus bone.

4.3\ Measuring Method

Thickness of every layer of the skin can be measured if necessary.

4.4\ The Clinical Application Value

To diagnose the diffuse and local abnormal skin conditions including cystic and solid diseases as well as to be used to postoperative follow-up observation in cosmetic surgery.

The face is the predilection site of the hemangioma and vascular malformation in the infants and children.

5\ Skin and Subcutaneous

Tissue Scanning in the Face

of Older Women

Fig. 14.5  Sonogram of the facial skin and subcutaneous tissue in the older women

(1) Epidermis, (2) Dermis, (3) Subcutaneous, (4) Zygomaticus muscles, and (5) Zygomaticus bone.

5.1\ Method

Probe is transversely placed on the surface of the face skin.

5.2\ Section Structure

Transverse section of every layer, including the

(1) Epidermis, (2) Dermis (3) Subcutaneous, (4) Zygomaticus muscles, and (5) Zygomaticus bone.

5.3\ Measuring Method

and Normal

Thickness of every layer of the skin can be measured if necessary.

5.4\ The Clinical Application Value

To diagnose the diffuse and local abnormal skin conditions including cystic and solid diseases. This plane can be used to follow up postoperative observation in cosmetic surgery.

6\ Skin and Subcutaneous

Tissue Scanning of the Upper

Lip

Fig. 14.6  Skin and subcutaneous tissue sonogram of the upper lip

6.1\ Method

Probe is transversely placed on the upper lip.

6.2\ Section Structure

Transverse section of every layer of the upper lip:

(1) Epidermis, (2) Dermis, (3) Subcutaneous fat, and (4) Muscle.

6.3\ The Clinical Application Value

To diagnose the diffuse and local abnormal conditions. This plane can be used to follow up postoperative observation in cosmetic surgery.

7\ Submaxillary Skin

and Subcutaneous Tissue

Scanning

Fig. 14.7  Submaxillary skin and subcutaneous tissue sonogram

7.1\ Method

7.3\ Measuring Method

Probe is placed transversely on the submaxillary skin.

Every layer thickness of the skin and subcutaneous tissue can be measured.

7.2\

Section Structure

7.4\

The Clinical Application Value

Transverse section of the submaxillary skin: (1) Epidermis, (2) Dermis, (3) Subcutaneous, (4) Digastric muscle, and (5) Mandibular bone.

There are differences in subcutaneous fat thickness in every individual because of the age and bodily form. This plane can be used to diagnose the diffuse and local abnormal conditions as well as follow up postoperative observation in cosmetic surgery.
