4.17.1\ Scanning Method

On the basis of five-chamber view of fetal heart, the probe is moved slightly toward fetal head, or the scanning angle of the probe is changed to acquire short axis view of fetal heart.

4.17.2\ Section Structures

The pulmonary artery is shown stemming from the right ventricle. The ascending aorta is in the middle, surrounded by the main pulmonary artery, right ventricle, right atrium, and left atrium in turn. By swinging the probe, the main pulmo-

nary artery and its left and right branches as well as the arterial ductus could be detected in this section.

4.17.3\ Measuring Method

Inner diameter of the aorta and pulmonary artery could be measured simultaneously in the same section.

4.17.4\ Clinical Significance

It is helpful in detecting sophisticated fetal heart anomalies.
