2.6\ Transection of Retroposition

2.6.1\ Method

The patient should void the urinary bladder. Probe is placed in the vagina, the direction of sound beam through the maximum transection of uterus.

2.6.2\ Section Structure

The left is the right lateral wall of the uterus, the down part which is next to the probe is the posterior uterus wall, and the right is the left lateral wall

of the uterus. The hyperechogenicity line which is located at the uterus center is the endometrium.

2.6.3\ The Clinical Application Value

The transaction is another important section to understand whether the size and shape of the uterus is normal. This section is also the most important one to know endometrium and intracavity information.

2.7.1\ Method

The patient should void the urinary bladder. Probe is placed in the vagina, the direction of sound beam through the longitudinal and transection of the uterus body.

2.7.2\ Section Structure

The narrow hypoechoic strip among the three hyperechoic lines located at the uterus center is the proliferative-phase endometrium, and the centromedian hyperechoic line is the uterus cavity line.

2.7.3\ Measuring Method and Normal

Measurement the thickness of endometrium on the longitudinal section, it is double layer thickness of endometrium, through measuring the thickness between the two lateral hyperechoic

line located at uterus center which is verticality of uterus cavity line, the proliferative-phase endometrium is a little thin, the echo is a little hypo and homogeneous, the proliferative-phase endometrium shows line, gradually thick to 1–5 mm.

2.7.4\ The Clinical Application Value

Observing the thickness and echo of the endometrium could give information about the diagnosis of endometrium pathological changes. If the endometrium is obviously thicker and the echo and thickness are heterogeneous, it is probably endometrial hyperplasia. If there is hyperechoic mass in the uterus cavity line, it is probably endometrial polyps.
