1).Choose the right word. Translate the sentences into Russian.

a) travel, travels, to travel, travelling

1. His mind travels to his childhood. (Его мысли перемещаются в детство.)

2. The news travels fast. (Новости распространяются быстро.)

3. This is a book of travelling. (Эта книга про путешествия.)

4. His eyes travel over the picture. (Его глаза блуждают по картине.)

5. He loves reading travel books. (Он любит читать книги про путешествия.)

6. He is fond of travelling. (Он любитель путешествий.)

7. Nowadays travelling has become a highly organized business. (Сейчас путешествие стало высокоорганизованным бизнесом.)

b) trip, cruise, tour

1. Have you ever taken a holiday cruise along the Black Sea coast or down the Volga? (Ты когда-нибудь брал праздничный круиз по побережью Черного Моря или вниз по Волге?)

2. When travelling you have to give special thought, not only to your route, but to what you wear & eat during your tour. (Когда путешествуешь, ты должен думать, не только про дорогу, но и про то, что ты будешь одевать и есть во время тура.)

3. What clothes would you suggest to a young ( old) passengers on tour? (Какую одежду ты бы посоветовал одеть молодым (пожилым) пассажирам в экскурсии?)

4. The National Theatre is on tour in the North. (Национальный театр есть в экскурсии по Северу.)

5. It must be the bird’s first trip from the nest. (Это должно быть первый птичий полет из гнезда.)

2).Write English equivalents for the following words & phrases. Use them in sentences of your own.

прибыть в Иркутск – to arrive in Irkutsk. Famous actor arrived in Irkutsk to show his new movie.

багаж – the luggage. The luggage must be not heave.

пересесть на другой поезд – to change stations. When you travel around the Russia you change stations.

опоздать на поезд – to miss the train. Missing the train is very difficult event.

дорожный чемодан – suitcase. My favourite suitcase has been broken by child.

нервотрепка – nerve wrecking. Travelling often is nerve wrecking, not a relax.

благовоспитанный – genteel. Genteel porter helped us to take our luggage from car.

в конце концов – in the end. In the end their plane were landed.

успокоиться – to calm down. Spa tour is the one way to calm down .

3).Give Russian equivalents for the following:
