За допомогою префікса ип- утворюються прикметники (іноді й імен­ники), що мають значення:

1. заперечення якості, позначеної дериваційною основою: unsafe -небезпечний, unabbreviated - нескорочений, unabsorbent - непоглинаючий, unarmoured - неброньований;

2. неможливості або відсутності дії, позначеної дериваційною осно­вою: unalterable - незмінний, unascertained - невстановлений, uncollected -незібраний, unchartered - незафрахтований.

Префікс ип- бере також участь в утворенні дієслів із такими значен-

нями:

1. дії, зворотної або протилежної тій, що виражена основою: to unarm - роззброювати, to unplug - відключати, to undo - повертати до початкового стану;

2. позбавлення від того, що позначено в основі: to uncage - випуска­ти з клітки, to unchurch - відлучати від церкви;

3. видалення, видобування: to uncap - знімати шляпку (голівку), to unearth - викопувати, видобувати з землі.

В українській мові є відповідники префікса ип-, наприклад, префік­си не-, роз-, від-, зне-, де-, але слід мати на увазі, що зовсім не завжди ан­глійські терміни з ші- перекладаються на українську мову термінами із за­значеними префіксами.

Варто окремо розглянути способи перекладу прикметників, імен­ників та дієслів з префіксом ип-. Загалом, існують такі основні способи перекладу англійських прикметників з ип-:

1. прикметником з префіксом не- або словосполученням з часткою не: unacademic- неуніверситетський, unslaked- негашений, unballasted-незабаластований, unattested- незасвідчений, unhomogeneous- неоднорід­ний, unphilosophical- нефілософський, unwooded- не вкритий лісом, un-verbalized- не виражений словами, untraceable- такий, що не може бути простежений;

2. прикметником з префіксом без- або сполученням прийменника без з іменником: unwinged - безкрилий, unscored - без позначок, unstinted -безмежний; unmanned - такий, що працює без обслуговуючого персоналу;

3. формально позитивним відповідником з запереченням в семан­тичній структурі: unsalutary - шкідливий (тобто більше ніж некорисний), unprofessional - дилетантський, unsophisticated - простий (технічно), unwe-athered - погодостійкий, untamed -дикий;

Іменники з префіксом ип- перекладаються переважно такими спосо­бами:

1. іменниками з префіксами роз-: unbalance - розбаланс(ування), ші-brazing - розпаювання, uncoiler - розмотувач (пристрій), undocking - розсти­кування,

2. іменниками з префіксом де-: unblocking- деблокування,

3. іменниками з префіксом не-: uncertainty - недостовірність, uncon-trollability - некерованість, unsymmetry - несиметрія;

4. іменниками з префіксом від-: unhookuing - від'єднання, unsode-ring - відпаювання;

5. іменником з префіксом пере-: unshift- переключення

6. терміном, що включає іменник "усунення" або под.: unshorting -усунення короткого замикання.

Дієслова з префіксом un- звичайно перекладаються наступними спо­собами:

1) дієсловом з префіксом роз-: to uncharge - розвантажувати, to unre-

el- розмотувати, tounscrew- розгвинчувати,

2. дієсловом із префіксом від-: touncouple- відчіпляти,

3. дієсловом із префіксом зне-: to ungrease, to unoil - знежирювати;

4. дієсловом із префіксом де-: to unlock - деблокувати, to unmake -демонтувати;

5. дієсловом із префіксом з-: to unwind - змотати;

6. складним терміном, що містить дієслово "вивільняти", "усувати", "визволяти" та под.: to unbuffer - вивільняти буфер; to unload - усувати на­вантаження;

7. описово, шляхом розкриття позначеного поняття: tounset- вста­новлювати прилад на "0", to unshift - переводити на літерний режим (в те­леграфії).

Завдання Перекладіть речення, визначивши адекватний спосіб пе­рекладу термінів з префіксом un-:
