7. At the toy museum

Helen: Hello, everybody! Welcome to Playtime. Where are my friends? Where are Jack and Jill? Ah, look.

Jack: It's your turn. Five. One, two three, four, five.

Helen: Jack and Jill are playing "Ludo".

"Ludo" is like the German game "Mensch, ärgere dich nicht". I think they finish the game.

Jack: I'm the winner!

Jill: It's a silly game.

Jack: The game isn't silly. You are silly.

Helen: Stop quarreling! Jack and Jill are quarreling.

Jill: Here, Jack. Catch!

Helen: Jack hurt his head, his shoulder, his knee and his nose on a bike tour last Playtime. Poor Jack. How are you, Jack? Are you better today? I think he's better today.

Look, what I've got here. It's a dolls' house. Let's go inside.

Here's the living room. And here's the kitchen. There are two bedrooms. And here's the bathroom.

The bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs.

And the living room and the kitchen are downstairs.

What about going to a toy museum now?

Jill: I like dolls.

Jill: The dolls' houses? Oh, good.

Jack: Put in 10p and pull.

Jill: Have you got 10p?

Jack: Yes, I have.

Jill: Listen!

Jack: Look too. The door is opening.

Jill: There are all cats.

Jack: Look at Mother Cat. She's sitting in the living room.

Jill: She's reading the paper.

Jack: There's the bathroom. Kate is in the bathroom. She's washing her hands.

Jill: There's the kitchen. Father Cat is in the kitchen.

Jack: He's making a cake.

Jill: And there's the bedroom. Tom is in the bedroom.

Jack: He's playing the drums.

Jill: There's Grandpa ['græn'pa:] .

Jack: Where?

Jill: Behind the house.

Jack: What's he doing?

Jill: Look!

Jack: He's fixing his motorbike.

Jill: What a funny family!

Announcement: Attention, please. The museum is closing in five minutes.

If you like this toy, you can say, "I like the bear". If you like this toy, you can say, "I like the rocking horse". And if you like this toy, you can say, "I like the doll".
