ТЕХТ

Tomorrow our ship will arrive at the port of Liverpool. At the pilot boarding place the ship will reduce her speed. We shall rig a pilot ladder on the port side (starboard side). A pilot boat will come alongside our ship.

A pilot will board the ship to take her to a berth. The master will order two tugs for mooring: one on the bow and one on the stern.

The tugs will come to the ship. The sailors will pass the tug ropes from the ship to the tugs. The tugs will tow the ship to her berth. We shall moor portside (starboard side). I think we shall send ashore the following lines: first a headline, a forward spring, then an aft spring and an aft breast line.

After mooring the health, customs and immigration officers will come on board to clear the ship in.

The ship will stay in the port for 3 days. In 3 days she will leave for London.
