Механізми та устаткування зазвичай транспортуються у дерев’яних ящиках із м’якої деревини, що відповідає розмірам товару. Такий товар кріпиться, здебільшого, до піддону. Щоб захистити устаткування від корозії, воно спочатку обгортається у поліетиленову плівку, яка є герметичною. Усі гострі кути потрібно ретельно обгорнути поролоном, щоб уникнути пошкодження плівки. Упаковка повинна щільно і міцно прилягати до підлоги контейнера.
