14 What places of interest in nn would you advertise to attract foreign tourists?

Needless to say that N.N. is a beautiful city. It attracts many tourists year after year. One of the most worth visiting places of interest is of course the Kremlin. It is not only a masterpiece of architecture, but one can also enjoy a spectacular view of the confluence of the Volga and the Oka. A boat trip is also a good view to see the Kremlin and the Chkalov ladder, where so many physically well built tourists like to challenge themselves. A walk along Pokrovka Street is also a great pleasure for everybody. One may not only visit various museums there, but also get some food in numerous restaurants. "Shveizariya" park is another glorious attraction. One can have fun time walking around the greenery and enjoy another great view of the Oka and the lower part of the city. Another good place of interest is the view of the Kanavinskiy bridge from the hill by Nizhegorodskaya hotel. It also gives a tourist a chance to see the newly built subway-automobile bridge which is a unique construction for Russia. So these are only some places to see in our great city.

15) What kinds of films would you promote to enlarge the attendance at our cinema halls?

When it comes to enlarging attendance at the cinema halls, we often think of blockbuster movies. It is true that they bring more money to the box-office and stimulate people to come to see films. Sequels are also important for enlarging audiences. But at the same time we should not forget about such genre as Art-house. These are not mainstream movies, that is why more work should be done to promote them. At the same time if blockbuster movies are so popular, people would come there anyway. And with Art-house movies situation is different - in order to enlarge the attendance and get more money one should think creatively because it is still quite an uninvestigated but a very potential market. Art house is typically a serious, noncommercial, non-pomographic, independently made film. They are also very thought provoking and have a twisted plot. Right now we have only two cinema halls which show ihem: "Orlenok" and "Rekord" and they already do quite a good job in promoting this new genre. A proof of that is that a cinema hall in "Fantastika" starts to show art-house movies quite often as well. Apparently, its owners know how to make money and that is why they are so interested in a new genre to bring it to the masses. These are some of the reasons why I think art-house should be more wide-spread to enlarge the attendance.

16) What types of music would you advertise to form a good artistic taste in young people?

It is quite difficult to answer this question because music tastes are so different. At the same time, I am sure that there are types of music which form a good artistic taste. First of all, I think that nothing much can be said unfortunately about Russian pop-stage. Almost everything contemporary now is quite tasteless. That is why I think it is wiser to turn to other countries. I think that Great Britain has given birth to very many good groups. One of my favourites are Coldplay and Keane (можно вставить что угодно сюда). It is not just high quality music, the lyrics are also quite meaningful and have sense. But also, in order to get a good artistic taste in young people I suggest they listen to a universal type of music which is classical one. When a person knows how to appreciate the melody and different instruments, he becomes a wiser man. Also, people who like orchestra music are considered to be better team players, which is an asset in their life and work. I think that now we have quite a good tendency with many young people starting to go to the Philharmonic - it makes them better developed people.

17) what kinds of theatrical performances would you promote to increase the attendance record at our theaters?

N.N. is a major cultural city in Russia. There are lots of museums and galleries and Nizhegorodians are eager theatre goers. That is why it may seem difficult to increase attendance record at our theaters because already so many people go there. Though I think there are several ways to do so. First of all it is the introduction of reasonably priced season tickets. In this case a person always has a chance to go to the theatre, especially when he has already bought a season pass. Another idea is to have as many guest performances as possible. Usually people like to see new faces and new emotions so this may stimulate them to come to the theatre more often. Another idea is an introduction of the so-called "meal deals", where there is a partnership formed with some restaurant and people get a chance to dine in a restaurant before going to the play, which brings them another exciting experience. Besides, it is not difficult to accomplish, since for example Drama Theatre is located on Pokrovka street where there are lots of restaurants as well. We should not also forget about such a huge bulk of public as students. Besides, many young people nowadays are active theatre goers, so we should think about spreading information in the universities as well.
