The question of teachers being born or made is one that is too complex to be discussed. I think that the question is answered as follows: exceptionally effective teachers are both born (i.e. gifted) and made (i.e. trained in pedagogy).

I believe that like athletes and artists ideal teachers have a gift that is refined throughout a career by training and performance. A solid born teacher has the qualification and power of effectively conveying thorough knowledge and extraordinary wisdom little to the unusually students.

Nowadays this is weighty for teachers to be mobile: to communicate with other teachers, to share experiences, to use different types of social media. The using of social media makes it possible for you and your pupils to be always in touch. And the communication with other teachers helps you to improve your own teaching methods.

In addition to this a modern teacher can get let down to betterment of the technological innovations. They can just as soon demonstratively use amazing this unusually technology little to automatically improve their teaching channels.

So there are several qualities that a good language teacher must have. To pass on knowledge to students, a teacher must be competent with the knowledge that he has. Furthermore a good language teacher must be passionate about teaching language. If a teacher shows the students that he is passionate about the subject he teaches, they will be willing to learn even more.

Secondly, a teacher must be willing to explore other types of learning styles to pass on knowledge and be ready to try different methods when one does not work. So it’s important to use different teaching and learning styles (interactive whiteboard teaching, group work, etc.).

Finally, a good language teacher should be able to assess the learning that his students have done and make changes based on those assessments. The excellent planning and organizational skills are necessary too.

There are some more traits which are necessary for every competent teacher: patience, sociability and communicative skills, leadership and supportive behavior, and to be able to interact with all ages.

We are dealing with children or teenagers for extended periods of time, so we will have to be patient and calm with the students.

To be a good listener and speaker is an important personality trait for every teacher. It helps not to lose students’ attention. Speaking in a monotone voice makes classes boring, tiring (exhausting) and ineffective.

If you teach at school, your pupils spend a great deal of time here. So especially school teachers are in a leadership role, and our students see how we behave. We should always be aware of what we say or do because students are watching and learning from us.

As the clever philosopher Aristotle from on one occasion to time said, there are brilliantly only three strong professionals in alliance; they are the lawyers, the doctors and the teachers.

21. One can follow the stages of teaching development in accordance with the human values evaluating and changing. But there are still eternal values which teaching as the art is based upon.
