Рекомендации по выполнению заданий:
1. First read each passage quickly and ask yourself questions, for example: What is the topic? Where is the text probably taken from? What is writer’s main purpose? Who is the intended reader? In style is it written?
2. Don’t try to understand the exact meaning of every word. There isn’t time, and a particular word or sentence may not be tested anyway.
3. Study any example answer and decide why it is correct/
4. If you have to choose from alternatives, check how many of them you have to use.
5. Check whether you have to use words from the text in your answers or your own words.
6. Keep the stated word limit by avoiding unnecessary words in your answer.
7. If a question type uses both unfinished statements and direct questions, decide which are which and check the grammar of your answers.
8. After you fill in all the answers on a diagram, chart or table, check that it makes sense overall.
The course is complete when:
all the students (attending this course) pass all the assignments pointed above,
do not fail during the rating period and pass the final exam.
The final exam can either be in oral form or in the form of the test, depending on the University request. In both cases the materials of the examination will include lecture materials, the tasks attached to the lectures and also the materials discussed during the practical classes.
