Aim: to describe the world of teenagers (their interests, hobbies, leisure, lifestyle, relations in family, subcultures, youth organizations), to give information about different spheres of their lives; make some advices for teenagers to make their life easier and better;

Expected results: to make parents more informed about teenagers’ world; to make teenagers think of their habits and change their lifestyles; to make a positive influence on relations between parents and their teenage children.

Family Relations

Every teenager has problems. There is no doubt about it. Every parent of a teenager knows that discipline can be a difficult and confusing issue, of course a teenager also knows what good behaviour is the right way to comfort and make their parents happy. Teenagers and their parents often have different opinions in such problem situations .Parents try to prove their rightness, children do the same. Here they start disobeying their parents, which creates problems.

Here are some suggestions for teenagers and their parents which may help to solve their problems:

  1. Teenagers should try to do what their parents tell them and not to do what their parents dislike. 2. On the other hand, parents should also know how to react with their children in the best way. 3. Teenagers like to be free and independent in their life, so it is good for parents to understand this situation and try to make a good relationship between them and their teenagers. 4. Teenagers face many problems, but they are reluctant to discuss their problems with their parents; they have to learn that they can’t find anyone better than their parents to discuss their problems with. 5. Parents should not forget that their children still need them and, underneath it all, care about their opinions. If parents understand and accept that some conflict is inevitable, the child would be better prepared for it. 6. Parents should not ignore experimentation of their children. They should explain teenagers what is good, what is bad; what choice they should do in their lives. 7. Both teenagers and parents have to try to reduce the animosity between them and start a relationship of love and respect, which I hope every teenager and parent can find.

Healthy Lifestyle

Your teenage years come with a lot of pressures, including the pressures to fit in and do well in school. With school, sports, activities and maybe even a part-time job, finding the time to lead a healthy lifestyle can be difficult. As a teen, it is important to remember that the healthy habits you adopt now will carry with you throughout the rest of your life. Taking care of your body is important in maintaining good health long-term. And you must do a lot to keep yourself healthy.

  1. The first thing is to eat a balanced diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables and get rid of the high sugar, processed foods. Along with eating better is getting the right nutrients in the system.

2. So the second thing is to take vitamins and minerals to help your body work properly.

3. The third tip is to quit all those nasty unhealthy habits. Smoking, drinking, drugs, chewing tobacco, whatever your vice may be quit now. You are in charge of your health and living a healthier lifestyle means getting rid of the things that may kill you.

4. The fourth thing to do is exercise. Exercise makes you feel good and can motivate you to get other things done as well.

5. Along with exercise, number five is making sure you see a doctor each year for an annual physical. This is more important in women, but men should be seeing a doctor every 2-3 years to make sure there are no big health concerns.

6. The sixth is to surround yourself with a strong support network, or a group of people who will be there for you and participate in a healthy lifestyle as well.

7. Your family and friends can help you with the seventh tip, have fun and enjoy life.

8. Eighth tip is to create a good balance between work and play.

9. The final two tips are to accept yourself for the unique individual you are and love what you do. If you can accept yourself, the good and the bad, it will show in all you do.
