І. Вправи на формування навичок та вмінь монологічного і діалогічного мовлення.

Вправа 1. Прочитайте статтю про життя молоді у Великобританії, порівняйте її з ситуацією, яка склалася в Українських навчальних закладах.

ТEACHERS’ AND STUDENTS’ RELATIONSHIP

You all are teenagers, aren’t you? And teens face a lot of problems which they would like to discuss with their peers. TEEN ADVICE ONLINE FORUM (TAOF) gives young people a chance to share their points of view on urgent problems with their peers all over the world through the Internet. Your British friends with whom you’re staying in Bristol have been registered as members of TAOF. The TAOF members are discussing student’s problems at school now. They invite you to discuss it together and send a joint message to the Forum later.

A shocking piece of information has appeared on the TAOF site. In Britain 90,000 schoolchildren play truant (are absent from school) every day – for a variety of reasons that can sometimes be trivial, sometimes very serious. Express your attitude towards the fact. Compare it with the situation in your own school.

Вправа 3. Деякі англійські підлітки надіслали до сайту молодіжного форуму в Інтернет для обговорення питання. Чи вважаєш ти їх дійсно важливими для себе? Назви інші проблеми із шкільного(студентського) життя, які слід обговорити.

Вправа 4 Британські соціологи проводячи дослідження, опитували студентів різних навчальних закладів про їхні проблеми в навчанні, а як би ви відповіли на їхні питання?

Вправа 6. А це думки англійських підлітків. Чи згодні ви з ними?

  4. In the near future school teachers will be replaced by computers.

Вправа 7 Британські науковці запропонували підліткам висловити своє відношення до тверджень, поданих нижче. Біля кожного твердження є п’ять цифр. Вони означають: 1 – да, безперечно, 2 – да, можливо, 3 – за деякої умови, 4 – можливо ні, 5 – ні, безперечно. Вислови своє відношення в римських і арабських цифрах та обговори результати тестування з своїми однолітками.

  1. Students should obey their teachers without question.

  2. It is an advantage to study at school where there is no punishment.

  3. Girls and boys should be taught by men and women correspondently.

  4. Schoolchildren should be allowed to choose the subjects they want to study.
