What can you tell me about your school?
I study at secondary school. It’s in the settlement of Orekhovsk not far from my home. It’s large but very old. There are 3 floors in my school. The headmaster’s office is on the ground floor. There is a new canteen on this floor where we have lunch. The teachers’ room and a new gym are on the first floor. There are the physics room, the chemistry room, the computer room and the library on the second floor. Our classrooms are large and light. We go to school 5 days a week. Our classes begin at 8 o’clock in the morning. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. According to our timetable we have 6 or 7 lessons every day.

Yes, I'm happy at school. It is my second home. It is a place where I develop my abilities and satisfy my curiosity. I am taught to be responsible , polite, hard-working and honest at school. Every day I learn something new, I meet my friends and we have a lot of fun together. We enjoy different cultural activities and demonstrate our individual talents, take part in different sport competitions. All teachers understand the students and become like parents to us. They support us and care for us. It's wonderful, I like my school.

I think a teacher plays an important role in our education, and when we remember our school years we usually remember our teachers, if they were fair and intelligent or not. I think that I'm a lucky person - almost all my teachers are very interesting and intelligent. And I'd like to have for my children someone who is patient and clever. The teacher should know how to help students to understand things. He should respect children and make them feel happy in the school. Of course hr should look nice and tidy. And finally, the teacher should love his job.

Does your school have any traditions?
Yes, we have some traditions at our school. One of the traditions is to have a school gathering on September 1, which is a special day for all the students and teachers. It’s The Day of Knowledge. Before the winter holidays we have the New Year Party. In autumn we have School Olimpiads where we have competitions in all school subjects. We also celebrate Teacher’s Day. We have concerts for our teachers, give them flowers. At the end of the school year students, their parents and teachers gather for the Last Bell.
