Practices of maintaining and managing competitive quality.

What is quality and what are the ways of maintaining and managing good quality?

Quality is a very important thing in business and it is about meeting the needs and expectations of customers.

A good quality involves the following key elements: value for money, reliability and genuiness. So, how reach a good quality? The answer is quality management.

Total quality management was watch world of the 1980s. There are basic principles of total quality management. The first one is to meet customer’s expectations. The second principle is endless improvement of system. The third principle is employee involvement. Everyone’s opinions and ideas must be respected and taken seriously. The next principle is unity of purpose. In order for quality to be achieved everyone in organization has to work together toward common goals.

An example of a good quality product can be a brand called “Apple”. It’s a fact that all the apple products are of a high quality. Also for example, Miele’s strategy- well-known producer of domestic appliances – is its high manufacturing standards and refusal to move down market and compete on price. The key factor of its quality control system is detailed testing of production. Also, Miele makes its plants compete with outside contractors.

In conclusion, I want to say that it’s not very difficult to reach a good quality in production. When people talk about reliable product they imply its quality. A company will have to spend a lot of efforts before its production become renown for its genuine quality.
