My house is my castle

I think, every person always dreams about the place where he can speak about his problems, chat with close friends, where he can feel happy and quiet. For me it is my family and my home. It is the best place in the world and my dearest people live here. My family is not large we are 4. I have a father, a mother and a brother. We all live together in a new flat. Though it is not very big, I like this cosy place most of all on the earth. Here I feel protected from all the troubles, I know that I'll be understood. To my mind, all this is due to my parents.We all feel happy when we are together. In the evenings we often have little gatherings in the kitchen by the cup of tea, chatting, laughing and discussing the events of the day. Those evening are the best of all. But sometimes I have problems with my parents. Sometimes they don't like the clothes I wear the music I listen to and the friends I bring home. It's not easy to be a teenager. My parents are hardworking. They combine work with housekeeping. Mum manages our household very well. We all are in the habit of helping her to run the house. My home is a cosy place. Our relatives and friends like to come to our place. My parents are very hospitable everybody feels at home in their flat.

What are friends for?

Every person needs a friend. Friends are very important in our life. I think you cannot live without friends. A friend is a person who is always there for you. Your close friend or best friend (BF as people call him or her) is a person whom you can trust with everything no matter what happens. Your true friend is always ready to help you, to support you if you do something wrong and to solve problems together with you. They say that “a friend in need is a friend indeed”. I think it is really so. A friend is someone whom you can call ten years after no calling at all and he or she will be glad to hear you. A friend respects your decisions and is sympathetic to you.I can find way with people so I have a lot of aсquaintances but very few friends. I love my close friends and, I think, they love me too. My best friends are not my classmates and they are a little bit older than me. I would like to tell you about my best friend Aigerim. She is 19 years old. She is not my classmate as I have already told. We have known each other for 5 years already.I think, Aigerim is a pretty girl. We are not alike. Her appearance is different. She is rather tall and slim. She has oval face and straight dark brown hair. Her nose is straight. She has very beautiful grey eyes with thick eyelashes. Aigerim has a perfect smile. Everybody calls her “a sun”. Aigerim wears glasses. My best friend is a very kind, good and sympathetic person. She is always ready to help people around her. She is quiet, gentle and well-bred. But at the same time she is very funny and has good sense of humour. She knows a lot of jokes and funny interesting stories.

Studies have shown that Montreal parents, parents from the rest of Canada, and the USA, tend to want their firstborns to have high status jobs such as lawyers and doctors but they relax on the choices for other siblings. For example, most Montrealers do not know that 21 out the 23 first astronauts in space were first born children.In a study looking at the birth place order of CEO’s it was found that 43 percent of them were firstborn children, 33 percent were middle born and 23 percent were the youngest children in their family.On the other hand, the youngest sibling in the family may be the one to engage in more reckless behavior such has dangerous sports including sky diving, motor cycle racing, sky jumping, and even football. Only children are less likely to venture outside on their own because of overly protective Montreal parents.According to a survey taken in a high school, the younger siblings said they were more sentimental and were less judgmental than their older siblings.The same survey reinforced the studies on firstborns who were geared towards being high achievers as this survey indicated these students rated themselves as being perfectionists.
