  1. Put the verbs in brackets into the correct present forms.

Dear Sal,

You’ll never guess where I (to write) from. I (to sit) on a bench on the shore of Lake Windermere! The air (to smell) wonderful – so clean and fresh. I (to stay) here for nearly a week now and I (to expect) I’ll stay for one more, as I (to begin) to fall in love with this place.   1. Which of the present forms in the letter above are used to express:

Translate into English.

1. Коли падає зірка, потрібно загадати бажання. Подивися, падає зірка. – Ти загадала бажання? 2. Мода в наші дні постійно змінюється. 3. Прийшов вересень. Багато людей готується до зими. 4. В наш час все більше жінок водять машини. Так, вигляд жінки дуже змінився за останні роки. (over the years). 5. Настя знову посварилася зі своїм хлопцем, тому що він постійно телефонує їй після півночі. 6. – В будинку пахне фарбою. – Так, ми уже місяць ремонтуємо будинок. Ми закінчили кімнати, але ще не почали фарбувати кухню. 7. Мої родичі збираються купити заміський будиночок. Вони планують і говорять про це уже два роки, але поки що не знайшли потрібний варіант. 8. Скільки я її знаю, вона завжди була примхливою.
