Unit 17. There is/There are.

Exercise 1. Norfolk is a small town. Look at the information in the box and write sentences with there is/isn’t/are/aren’t … .

Example: Home Office. No. – There isn’t a Home Office in Norfolk.

Exercise 2. Fill in the gaps with there is/there isn’t/is there/there are/there aren’t/are there.

Example: … many books on civil law in our library. – There are many books on civil law in our library.

Exercise 3. Complete the sentences with there was/there wasn’t/was there?/there were/there weren’t/were there?

Exercise 5. Translate the sentences from Russian into English.
