Изучение курса теоретической фонетики в вузе предпола­гаеткак аудиторные занятияпопредмету (лекцииисеминары), такисамостоятельнуюработустудента.Предлагаемыйсборник включаетлабораторныеработыподесятитемамтеоретического курсаиохватываетвсеключевыемоменты,связанныеспонима­нием сущности предмета фонетики как науки озвуковом строе языка.
Большаячастьзаданий лабораторныхработ имееттестовый характеринаправленанапроверкуглубинызнанийстудентовпо каждойтеме.Какправило, первыйподстановочныйтест,требу­ющий восстановленияинформации поизучаемой теме,следует выполнятьдважды—сначалавкачествесамоконтролясразупо­слепрослушиваниялекции преподавателя,азатемпослеизуче­ниярекомендованнойлитературыпотеменепосредственноперед участиемвсеминаре.
Другая частьзаданий направлена наразвитие лингвистиче­скойнаблюдательности,способностистудентовопределятьотли­чительныерелевантныехарактеристикизвуковилидругихфоне­тическихявленийипроцессовнасегментномисверхсегментном уровнях.
Таккакработанадкаждымтестомможетпотребоватьразлич­ного количества времени, тозадания рекомендуется выполнять во время самоподготовки. Целесообразно обсудить результаты выполнениятестовцеликомили выборочнов ходесеминарских занятий.
