Степени сравнения прилагательных
Использование |
Используется для сравнения признака, качества или свойства объекта (предмета). В английском языке различают 3 степени сравнения прилагательных: положительную (the positive degree), сравнительную (the comparative degree) и превосходную (the superlative degree). | |||
Образование |
1) Положительная степень – исходная, не имеющая никаких окончаний. 2) Сравнительная степень – образуется при помощи прибавления суффикса -er к прилагательному (только односложные и двусложные прилагательные с окончаниями -y, -er, -ow). Остальные двусложные и многосложные прилагательные образуют превосходную степень прибавлением вспомогательного слова more 3) Превосходная степень – образуется при помощи прибавления суффикса –est к прилагательному (только односложные и двусложные прилагательные с окончаниями -y, -er, -ow). Остальные двусложные и многосложные прилагательные образуют превосходную степень прибавлением вспомогательного слова the most. Для выражения сравнения существует также целый ряд конструкций, таких как as … as (такой же … как), not as … as (не такой … как), more (less) … than (больше (меньше) … чем), the more … the less (чем больше … тем меньше) | |||

Формальные признаки частей речи английского языка. Существительное (The Noun)
По своему обобщенному лексическому значению существительные обозначают предметы и вещества (a window, milk, a table, a chair), живые существа (a boy, a girl, a dog, a cat), отвлеченные понятия и явления (rain, work, beauty).
Как и в русском языке, все существительные английского языка делятся на имена собственные (John, London) и имена нарицательные, которые в свою очередь подразделяются на исчисляемые (problem, a pen, a squirrel) и неисчисляемые (water, money, time), вещественные (wood, oil) и отвлеченные (impression, love, surprise). Кроме того, имеется класс собирательных существительных, таких как team, group, army, family, party, crew.
