Roller Mill ip-rm04

APPLICATION

The double roller mills are for grinding cleaning wheat, rye and intermediate products. They are the key machines within the grinding technology in flour mills and other food and chemical industries. They are also used for crushing barley, maize, soybean, rice, oats, sugar, salt, spices etc.

CONSTRUCTION

The Roller Mill consists of two independent milling sections located in a common body made of cast iron which reduces vibration arising from grinding.

Each Milling Section consists of:

  • Feed glass hopper

  • Hopper with feed rolls and product flow adjustment system

  • A pair of chilled cast iron rolls, grooved / polished

  • Roll engagement and disengagement system with micro adjustment of the nip of rolls

  • Roll cleaning brushes

  • Helical gears between rolls for achieving differential speed

  • Side guards

  • Discharge hoppers

OPERATION

The product is fed through the feed glass via distributor and is distributed over the whole length of feed rolls in a regular layer.

The feed rolls supply the product from hopper into pitch of rolls. The feed rolls are driven from V-belt fitted on roll.

The gap between the rolls is adjusted according to the type of product and grain size.

The rolls run on differential speed. The fast roll supported with bearing is fixed on the body where as the slow roll supported with bearing is adjustable to achieve the rolls pitch.

The engagement and disengagement of the rolls is done with a hand lever.

The roll cleaning is performed by brush or scraper. The product is taken out from discharge hopper after grinding.

The provision for direct lifting with pneumatic system may be also provided.
