To our descendants

We are keepers of 125 years history of one of the oldest educational institutions of Donbass, young, energetic, full of ambitious intentions. We speak to you, whose age allows to glance in the secret of the third millennium and realize yourselves in the future!

We live in the independent state which name is Ukraine! These years have been the years of our reviving, unity, comprehension of the country’s history and fate.

Today the world is not the same as it was yesterday: it is intense, saturated with information. Sciences are developing rapidly. And it is necessary not only to know much but also to realize for what we need knowledge of high level.

Our college life is filled with creativity and desire to change the world for the better.

An anniversary is not only a holiday but also the result of a long way with an attentive and captious look in the past.

Let's look through the pages of our history:

1880 – Lugansk Technical Railway School was solemnly opened. It had only 20 students as its first graduates.

1921- Lugansk Technical Railway School got the status of Lugansk Technical School of Railway Transport.

1955 – Lugansk Technical School of Railway Transport was changed for Lugansk Building College of Transport Engineering.

Today Lugansk Building College of Transport Engineering is a higher educational institution of the first accreditation level. There are about 2400 students to be taught at college and about 300 teachers and employees work here.

Our college trains building technicians of railways, builders, accountants, brokers, lawyers, financiers, clerks, technicians of computer maintenance, social workers.

There are 65 classrooms, 16 laboratories, 5 training workshops, 2 gyms, 7 computer classes and information and codification service with Internet.

At college there is a student specialized service which includes:

• volunteer detachment “Charity”;

• assistance team for police forces;

• press-centre;

- bureau of a person’s rights protection;

- consulting group;

- council of the college history museum.

Students’ life is so active! They have the Department’s days, presentations of specialities, KVN, competitions "Hello! We are looking for talents" and "Geodesist of the Year" aimed the harmonious development of a personality. It is clear why there are so many people well- known outside Ukraine among our college graduates:

• Korotchaev Dmitry Ivanovich, the Honoured builder, the Hero of Socialist Labour;

• Zhukov Yuriy Alexandrovich, the Hero of Socialist Labour;

• Geybo Josiph Ivanovich , the Hero of the Soviet Union;

- Chumak Ivan Michaylovich , the People’s Artist of

Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko State premium laureate.

Many graduates returned to native college as teachers after receiving their higher education at institutes or universities.

Skilled and high-professional pedagogical staff executes the priority tasks of educational, intellectual and professional development of Ukraine.

There are two Honoured Teachers of Ukraine, two Honoured Workers of Education of Ukraine, fifteen teachers of our college awarded with Medal of Honour, twenty seven teachers marked with the diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, forty four specialists of higher qualification category , seventeen masters of different branches of science .

The generations of students and teachers will be changed, the life will bring its corrective amendments, but we believe that our college will be as a coast of love, an island of scientific activities and humanity for you.

We bequeath to you:

- remember teachers who gave knowledge to you;

- pass on your love for work to your descendants;

- increase those saved by the students of 2005;

- open new worlds;

- build new roads and cities;

- be kind and friendly, keep all the dearest and light that is connected with our college in your hearts and memories;

- bow to your parents who brought you up and did everything for you to have higher education;

- increase glorious traditions of Lugansk Building College of Transport

Engineering;

- don’t forget that you studied in order to give your knowledge, experience and heart to the people, to our native Ukraine;

- preserve Ukraine as the progressive civilized state!

У цей день відбулися зустрічі з випускниками, пройшли урочистості у технікумі та приміщенні російського драматичного театру: концерти, виступи ветеранів педагогічної праці, відомих людей Луганщини.
