Present Continuous and Present Simple
We use the present continuous:
for personal arrangements, plans; they are not part of schedules or routines
I’m seeing him at six o’clock (=my plan)
I’m leaving for London for the weekend
We use the present simple:
for fixed timetables or official arrangements
I see him at six o’clock (=my fixed schedule)
I leave for London tomorrow (=my boss says so)
