5 Short description of the course

5.1 Discipline characteristic

The discipline of «Basis of safety of vital functions» forms at students the main representations in the field of the organization of health and safety of people, gives the chance to gain the practical skills connected with protection and steady functioning of objects, to actions on elimination of consequences of an emergency.

5.2 Discipline purpose

The purpose of studying of this discipline is training of future experts to theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for:

- creations of safe and harmless conditions of ability to live;

- designs of new technics and technological processes according to modern requirements on a security of their operation in view of stability of functioning of objects of managing and technical systems;

- forecasting and acceptance of competent decisions in conditions of an emergency on protection of the population and the industrial personnel of objects of managing against possible consequences of accidents, accidents, acts of nature and application of modern means of defeat, as well as liquidation of these consequences.

5.3 Problems of discipline:

Training of students:

- receptions and ways of protection of people at emergency;

- definition of stability of functioning of objects at emergency;

- actions on liquidation of consequences emergency.

As a result of studying the given discipline students should:

- have an idea about: main principles of protection of people at emergency, organizational bases of safety of vital functions, receptions and ways of increase of stability and readiness for liquidation of consequences emergency.

To nobility:

- theoretical bases of a security of ability to live of the person in an inhabitancy;

- legal and normative and technical bases of a security of ability to live;

- anatomy-physiological consequences on the person of injuring, harmful and amazing factors;

- ways and ways of increase of stability of functioning of managing subjects in emergency;

- methods of forecasting of emergencies and liquidations of their consequences.

To be able:

- develop actions on increase of a security and ecological compatibility of industrial activity;

- plan and carry out actions on increase of stability of industrial activity of objects of managing;

- plan actions on protection of the industrial personnel and the population in emergencies;

- take part in carrying out of saving and other urgent works on liquidation of consequences emergency.

To get practical skills:

- in forecasting conditions at occurrence emergency, definition of a degree of danger, in skill properly to make the decision on protection of the population and the industrial personnel of managing subjects against influence of negative factors and of liquidation of their consequences.
