Данное пособие является частью учебного комплекса, предназначенного для самостоятельной работы студентов первого и второго курсов гуманитарных факультетов вузов, а также для широкого круга лиц, изучающих английский язык самостоятельно.
Цель данного пособия – познакомить студентов с культурой страны изучаемого языка во всем ее богатстве и разнообразии, а также направить полученные теоретические знания на повышение общей и профессиональной компетенции студентов.

Раздел 3 включает разработки к художественным и документальным фильмам (Units 7-13).
Раздел 4 включает лабораторные работы к учебным аудио материалам (Units 14, 15).
Приложение (Appendix) включает лабораторные работы по грамматике английского языка (фразовые глаголы).
Выбор фильмов и аудиоматериалов способствует повышению общекультурного уровня студентов, пониманию и усвоению лексического материала, восприятию видео- и аудио- информации, совершенствованию речевых умений и навыков.
