Задание для самостоятельной подготовки к зачету на I курсе.

Для того чтобы правильно выполнить задание, необходимо усвоить следующие разделы курса английского языка:

1. Особенности произношения гласных и согласных звуков английского языка. Правила чтения букв и буквосочетаний.

2. Множественное число имен существительных. Артикли и предлоги. Выражение падежных отношений в английском языке с помощью предлогов, окончания 's и порядка слов. Использование существительного в функции определения. Перевод его на русский язык.

3. Степени сравнения прилагательных и наречий.

4. Числительные (количественные и порядковые).

5. Местоимения (личные, притяжательные, вопросительные, указательные, относительные).

6. Формы настоящего, прошедшего и будущего времени Indefinite действительного залога изъявительного наклонения. Спряжение глаголов to be, to have в Present, Past и Future Indefinite. Повелительное наклонение и его отрицательная форма.

7. Модальные глаголы can, may, must.

8. One и его функции в предложении. Неопределенное местоимение one в сочетании с модальными глаголами.

9. Простое распространенное предложение. Прямой порядок слов повествовательного и побудительного предложений в утвердительной и отрицательной формах; обратный порядок слов вопросительного предложения. Оборот there + to be.

10. Словообразование. Основные суффиксы и префиксы. Словосложение. Использование слов, одинаковых по форме, представляющих собой различные части речи.

После изучения вышеуказанного материала приступайте к непосредственному выполнению заданий.

Выполните следующие упражнения

I. Составьте предложения из данных слов и словосочетаний. Помните о порядке слов (S — подлежащее, V — сказуемое, О — дополнение, А — обстоятельство).

III. Перепишите предложения, поставив существительные во множественное число. Внесите соответствующие изменения.

IV. Подберите необходимую форму артикля (a/an или the). Переведите предложения 4 и 6 на русский язык.

Here is a puzzle. One must puzzle out it and answer the questions. There are some books on a shelf. There are three big ones and two small ones. One of the big ones is red. There is a small green book. There are two green ones altogether and two blue ones. Only one of the small books is green.

XII. Прочтите предложения и выполните задания а) и b).

a) Подчеркните слова, оканчивающиеся на -s (-es). Определите функцию этих окончаний, обозначив буквой: Р (possession) — притяжательный падеж существительного, V (verb) — глагол в третьем лице единственного числа в Present Indefinite и N (noun) — множественное число существительного.

b) Найдите случаи употребления существительных в функции определения. Выделите их, как указано в модели: Summer Gardens.

The weather is a thing that I can never understand. I remember one summer day. We read the weather forecast in the newspaper: "Heavy showers with thunderstorms." We had to stay at home. One of us said, "I'd like to know when those heavy showers and thunderstorms began?" "Ah! They will come in the afternoon, you'll see" we said to each other. But there was no rain on that day. The next morning we read, "The weather will be warm and fine, no rain." We went to the country. We wanted to have a good rest. But it began to rain hard, and it rained the whole day. We came home quite wet, with colds and rheumatism all over us.

XIV. Составьте письменно восемь вопросов по содержанию текста (см. упр. XIII): по два вопроса с глаголами в Present, Past и Future Indefinite и два вопроса с модальными глаголами.

К выполнению контрольной работы № 1 студенту следует приступать после того, как им будут усвоены следующие разделы теоретического курса английского языка:

1. Времена группы Indefinite в действительном залоге (повторение).

2. Времена группы Continuous в действительном залоге. Их образование и употребление.

3. Образование и употребление времен группы Perfect (действительный залог).

4. Простые неличные формы глагола: Present Participle (причастие настоящего времени). Past Participle (причастие прошедшего времени). Их образование и функции в предложении.

5. Модальные глаголы can, may, must и их эквиваленты.

6. Словообразование:

a) суффиксы существительных: -or, -er, -ment, ion, -ity, -dom, -ship, -ness, -ance, -ence.

X. Подчеркните модальные глаголы и их эквиваленты. Переведите предложения.

XIII. Перепишите текст, употребляя глагол в форме Present Indefinite или Present Continuous. Подчеркните глаголы в Present Indefinite одной чертой, а глаголы в Present Continuous — двумя.
