Diet No. 5a

Indications. Acute hepatitis and cholecystitis, aggravation of chronic hepatitis, cholecystitis, cholelythiasis, and others diseases accordingly to diet prescription aim.

Prescription aim. To provide full value nutrition in conditions of considerable affection of functional ability of liver and bile ducts as a result of inflammatory and dystrophic processes in the liver cells and bile excretory organs. Maximum defense of affected organs. To promote normalization of functional liver activity and bile excretory organs, and also of organs that are frequently involved in pathological process in liver and bile excretion organs diseases (pancreas, stomach, duodenum, intestine).

General characteristic. Diet is in accordance to physiological requirements with moderate restriction of fats and salt, mechanical and chemical irritators of mucous membrane and receptor apparatus of gastro­intestinal tract, with exclusion of products and dishes that increase fermentative and putrefactive processes in intestines, and also strong stimulators of bile secretion, stomach and pancreas secretion, substances that irritate liver (extractive substances, organic acids, products enriched with essential oils, roast dishes, contained products of incomplete fats decomposition (acroleins and aldegides), refractory fats, cholesterol and purine riched products).

Calorie level and content. Proteins - 100 g, fats - 70-80 g, carbohydrates - 350-400 g, calorie level - 2500-2800 kcal, free fluid - 1.5-2 L, salt to 8-10 g per 24 hours, mass of 24 hours ration - 3.3-3.5 kg.

Nutrition regimen. Fractional (5-6 times per day).

Diet No. 6

Indications. Gout (podagra) and uratic diathesis . Erythremia and other cases, when exclusion of meat and fish products are indicated.

Prescription aim. To promote purine metabolism normalization and reducing of endogenous formation of urine acid.

General characteristic. Products enriched with purine compounds are excluded. Include products enriched with alkaline radicals (vegetables, fruits, berries, milk), moderate restrict salt intake.

Calorie level and content. Proteins - 80-100 g, fats - 80 g, carbohydrates - 400 g, calorie level -2700 kca!.

Carbohydrates are restricted in the patients with excessive free fluid - 1.5-2 L, salt to 8-10 g per 24 hours, mass of 24 hours ration - 3.3-3.5 kg.

Nutrition regimen. Fractional (5-6 times per day).

Diet No. 7a

Indications. Acute glomerulonephritis after rice-apples, potato or sugar days diet. Chronic nephritis in renal failure stage.

Prescription aim. Create condition for maximum kidneys defense. Influence on hypertension and edema as a result of salt intake restriction.

General characteristic. Diet with significant restriction of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates in the physiological norm ranges. Salt free, hyposodium diet (food is cooked without salt, special salt free bread). Sodium content is 400 mg that correspond to 1000 mg (1 g) of salt. According to doctor prescription 1-3 g of salt can be added to the patients with insufficient renal function in the presence of nitricemia. For such patients is permitted to intake amount of fluid same to amount of urine excreted during previous 24 hours. Culinary meal processing is without mechanical spare. Vegetables, fruits, berries intake are without restriction, part of them - uncooked.

Calorie level and content. Proteins - 25-30 g, fats - 80-100 g, carbohydrates - 400-450 g, calorie level - 2500-2600 kcal. in increased amount vitamin C and vitamins B group are intake.

Nutrition regimen. Meal intake 5 times per day.

Diet No. 7b

Indications. Acute glomerulonephritis after diet No 7a. aggravation of chronic nephritis with edema, elevated blood pressure, but with preserved renal function.

Prescription aim. Create condition for maximum kidneys defense. Influence on hypertension and edema as a result of salt intake restriction.

General characteristic. Fats and carbohydrates are in the physiological norm ranges, but protein amount increase to 45-50 g by adding of one portion of boiled meat or fish and 200 g of milk or kefir. The products and character of culinary processing is the same as in diet 7a. Salt amount is increase to 1.5 g.

Calorie level and content. Proteins - 45-50 g, fats - 100 g, carbohydrates - 450-500 g, calorie level - 3000 kcal.

Diet No. 7

Indications. Acute glomerulonephritis in recovery period. Chronic nephritis with insignificant urine changes. Arterial hypertension and other cases when salt free diet is need. Pregnancy nephropathy.

Prescription aim. Moderate kidneys function defense. Influence on hypertension and edema as a result of salt intake restriction.

General characteristic. Salt free, the products and character of culinary processing is the same as in diet 7a and 7b, but protein amount increase to 80 g by adding of boiled meat or fish and curds.

Calorie level and content. Proteins - 80 g, fats - 100 g, carbohydrates - 400-500 g, calorie level -2800-3200 kcal. Salt amount is nearly 2 g. In increased amount vitamin C, P and vitamins B group are intake.

For the patients with kidneys amiloidosis with preserved renal function and patients with nephrosis diet 7 is prescribed with increased amount of proteins to 140 g, lipotropic factors, polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamins.
