“Rieker” is an international company which specializes in producing footwear. It is located in Switzerland. About two hundred employees work for this company. Its head office is in Berne. The head office makes general policy decisions and the local managers look after the daily business in branches. The company has branches in different cities and countries. These branches are independent. Each year the company exports 60 % of its total output. It sells a small number of products in Russia. It imports raw materials and equipment from European countries. The company invests significant sums in promoting its products. It takes part in international exhibitions. The turnover of the company is increasing rapidly and the net profit grows every year.
