Summary
Elicitors and their application in crop production
Over the past 10–15 years there have been considerable progress in our understanding plant defense mechanisms associated with elicitors. A large number of elicitors have been identied. Although their practical use is just beginning the rst examples of plant protection products on the basis of elicitors are already available on the world market. The monograph is devoted to elicitors and their application in practice of agriculture and for induction of synthesis in cellular cultures of various plants of useful pharmacological compounds. Special attention is given to endogenous peptide elicitors, interest to which there is now increasing. The book is intended for a wide range of specialists in the eld of organic and bioorganic chemistry, biochemistry and plant protection as well as lecturers, post-graduate and undergraduate students of the corresponding specialties.
