At the end of 2013, 4 large-scale demonstration projects and 8 enhanced recovery projects using anthropogenic CO2 were operating
A full scale commercial project was commissioned in October 2014 in Saskatchewan Canada: Samspower Boundary Dam involves the addition of post-combustion capture to an existing pulverized coal unit. Power 110 MW, the CO2 is sold to oil operators for EOR.
To comply with the proposed US regulations, new coal fired power plants would need to be equipped with CCS within 10 years
