Материал учебно-методического пособия соответствует программе учебной дисциплины «Английский язык» для 2 курса (2 семестра) всех специальностей (кроме специальности 210501).
Данное пособие состоит из четырёх частей. Первая, вводная часть содержит пять лекций по теории технического перевода с английского языка на русский. По теме «Словообразование» представлен ряд упражнений. Вторая часть пособия, основной курс, включает в себя общетехнические тексты и тренировочные задания к ним. Третья часть содержит грамматический материал с упражнениями. Тексты четвёртой части предназначены для дополнительного чтения.
Учебно-методическое пособие может быть использовано студентами дневного и заочного отделений средних специальных учебных заведений для самостоятельной подготовки по данной учебной дисциплине.
