The members of the Animated Gartoon Computer group have erected the country's first computer games on a contract from the Russian Ministry of Culture.

The question is of a fundamentally new kind of entertainment called upon to introduce something qualitatively new in our leisure. Electronic games appeared in Russia in the early

1970s. The maximum we nave been able to achieve in TV games was tennis, football and hockey, which quickly become boring.

A real computer game resembles real life as closely as possible. You have to deal not with symbols, but with people machines and rockets. Even the programmes of the game can be very unexpected. There are up to 10,000 different computer games in the world. (But we know practically nothing about them).

The Animated Cartoon Computer Group consists of some 50 people: scriptwriters, artists, composers. The "Suit" and one more game "Mozaika" were created by 17 people over two and a half months. This is very quick by international standards.

But these wonderful games will not appear in our homes, because foreign made personal computers can only be bought at a second- hand shop, whereas very few Russian personal computers are produced, and their quality cannot be compared to that of foreign made. You will be able to play only at recreation centres.
