SAILING PLAN REPORT (CHILREP SP):
(1) An SP should be sent within 24 hours prior or up to 2 hours after entry into the CHILREP area or departure from a port within the CHILREP area. The SP should contain infonnation necessary to initiate a plot and give an outline of the intended passage.
(2) The report comprises CHILREP SP followed by lines which give an outline of the vessel'sintended passage as indicated in (a), (b), (c) or (d):
(a)SP on entering the CHILREP area. Lines: A, F, G, H, K, L, M, N, V, Xof the basic format; or
(b)SP submitted on departure from a port within the CHILREP area to a port outside the CHILREP area. The report may be submitted prior to sailing and up to 2hours after departure. Lines: A, F, H, I, K, L, M, N, V, Xof the basic format; or
(c)SP submitted on departure from and to a port within the CHILREP area. The report may be submitted prior to sailing and up to 2 hours after departure. Lines: A, F, H, J, K, L, M, N, V, Xof the basic format; or
(d)SP submitted when transltlng the CHILREP area from and to aport not In the CHILREP area. Lines: A, F, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, Vof the basic format.
POSITION REPORT (CHILREP PR):
(1) A PR should be sent daily between 1200 and 1600 UTC. The PR must reflect the position, course and speed of the vessel at the time of the report. If nis necessary to anar the nominated daily reporting time the anaration should be shown in the PR sent before the change. The information contained in the PR will be used to update the plot
(2) The report comprises CHILREP PR followed by the lines A, B, C, E, F, X of the basic format.
DEVIATION REPORT (CHILREP OR):
(1)ADR must be sent should avessel, at any time, be in aposition more than 2 hours steaming from the position that would be predicted from the last SP or PR.
(2)The report comprises CHILREP DR followed by the lines A, B, C, F, I, X of the basic format. Include in line Xthe reason for the deviation (speed reduction due to the weather, change of destination, etc.).
ANAL REPORT (CHILREP FA):
(1)A FR should be the information sent to terminate participation in the CHILREP system.
(2)The report, prefixed CHILREP FR, should be sent in the following .format:
(a)FA submitted prior to or on arrival at aport In the CHILREP area. Lines:
A, K, X(must include the words Final Report) of the basic format; or
(b)FA submitted when a vessel has departed from the CHILREP area. Such a report should be sent as soon as practicable. Lines: A, K (include point of exit (latitude/longitude) from the CHILREP area), X (must include the words Final Report) of the basic format.
TRANSMISSION OF REPORTS:
(1) In a Chilean Port: Reports may be sent through a Chilean CRS which accepts public correspondence. Messages should be addressed DIRECTEMAR VALPARAIso.
(2) At Sea: Reports may be sent through a Chilean CRS which accepts public conrespondence.

OVERDUE REPORTS:
(1) To avoid unnecessary search action it is important that vessels report at the nominated reporting time each day and send their FINAL REPORT when leaving the CHILREP area.
(2) If avessel is unable to pass aposition report due to unserviceable radio equipment or other reasons, all attempts muS1 be made to pass a signal to this effect through another vessel, port or other shore authority, etther by VHF or use of an emergency transmitter.

(4)Berthlng Pilots for the oil and gas terminals in the east part of Estrecho de Magallanes, are embarlled off the terminals by vessels from the Atlantic, and off Punta Arenas by vessels from the Pacnic.
(5)When 20 n miles from landfall point posnion 52°35'·00Ssa010'·50W, westbound vessels should contact Puma Dungeness Lt or Cabo Esplrltu Santo Lt for instructions.
(6)Vessels should maintain acontinuous listening watch on VHF Ch 16 and 2182 kHz at all times. They should report to Gobemacion MarlUma, Punta Arenas, as follows:
(a)On emering and leaving the straits when abeam of Puma Dungeness Lt (52°23'·67Ssa025'·97W),Ites Anxious Lt (54°07'·11S70056'·83W),Isla Tamar (52°54'·89S73°49'·69W)or Cabo Pilar (52°42'·93SW41'·10W) as appropriate.
(b)Position and speed every 4h if not carrying a pilot, or at 0800 and 2000 LT n carrying a pilot.
(7)In addi1ion large vessels should advise Gobernaci6n MarItima, Punta Arenas, of their ETA at the following channels:

(3)The use of these areas is controlled by Gobernaclon Maritima, Punta Arenas.
TORTUOSO PASSAGE:
It is mandatory to send a Security Advice on VHF Ch 16 while crossing the Tortuoso Passage (1 h before entering this area and £!Very 15 mins unUI the transit has been completed).
