Analyze the following sentences according to the model:
Model: Martin had to pass that complicated exam the day before yesterday.
It is a simple extended sentence.
“Martin” – is the subject expressed by the proper noun.
“had to pass” – is a compound verbal predicate expressed by the verb with a modal meaning “to have” in the Past Simple Tense combined with the infinitive.
“exam” – is a direct object expressed by the common noun in the objective case.
“complicated” – is a prepositive attribute expressed by the adjective.
“the day before yesterday” – is an adverbial modifier of time expressed by the the adverb.
Pam has been preparing for the final test since Monday.
It was a warm soft evening in spring.

Головні члени речення: підмет і присудок. Типи присудків в англійській мові.

Другорядні члени речення. Додаток, його види (прямий, непрямий, безприйменниковий). Означення, його різновиди. Прикладка, її види. Обставини: групи за значенням.
Однорідні члени речення.
Відокремлені члени речення: обставина, означення, додаток.
Слова, синтаксично не пов’язані з членами речення. Пряме звернення, вигук, вставні конструкції (слова, фрази, речення).
Правила пунктуації. Особливості вживання великої літери. Крапка, курсив, кома, двокрапка, крапка з комою, три крапки, апостроф, дефіс, тире.
