  1. Предложения с оборотом there+be указывают на наличие или от­сутствие какого-нибудь лица или предмета в определенном месте.

  2. Перевод предложений с оборотом there+be следует начинать с об­стоятельства места.

  3. Глагол to be согласуется в лице и числе с подлежащим, которое следует непосредственно за ним. Например: There is a pen, a pencil and textbooks on the desk.
