Text 1. Fitness and Wellness are Important
The human organism was designed to be active. Anthro¬pologists indicate that the need to be active is associated with the “fight or flight” response. In search of food, primitive people sometimes had to fight with other predators or to flee for safety. Even our more recent ancestors were required to do vigorous activity as a relatively major part of their normal daily routine. However , automation and technology have freed modern civilization from the exhausting physical labour.
Even though physical work has become less necessary as a part of the normal work of many adults, the need for regular exercise has not decreased. Moreover, it has increased.
Lack of regular phy sical activity results in poor physical fitness. People, who are not physically fit often suffer from hypokinetic diseases or conditions.
In recent years many people have discovered that active living contributes significantly to good health and wellness. Regular physical activity is one of many different life-styles that can enhance health and quality of life and can be responsible for optimal wellness.

У пошуках їжі, первісні люди іноді доводилося битися з іншими хижаками або бігти за безпеку. Навіть наші останні предки повинні були зробити активну діяльність як відносно більша частина їх нормального повсякденного життя. Однак, автоматизація та технології звільнив сучасну цивілізацію від виснажливого фізичної праці. Навіть якщо фізична робота стала менш необхідні як частина нормальної роботи багатьох дорослих, потреба в регулярних фізичних вправ не зменшилася. Крім того, зросла. Відсутність регулярних PHY класичними результатами діяльності в погану фізичну підготовку. Люди, які не фізично, часто страждають від гіпокінезії захворювань або станів. В останні роки багато людей виявили, що активний спосіб життя вносить істотний вклад у здоров'я і благополуччя. Регулярна фізична активність є одним з багатьох стилів життя, які можуть поліпшити здоров'я і якість життя і може бути відповідальним за оптимальну оздоровчих.
Text 2. Sport In Our Life.
Nowadays our life is unthinkable without sport. Sport is not only a means of showing faster times, longer distance and greater weights. It is a source of good health and a very attractive way of enjoying one's leisure. Spoil is a vital component in the education of the younger generation, a component of longevity. Many people begin the working day with morning physical exercises. In the street one can often see joggers of all ages. At stadium there are general physical fitness groups which may inclucks people aged 70 and more. Millions of people go in for different kinds of sports irrespective of their age and professions. The most popuktr sport:; in Ukraine are; football (soccer), ice-hockey, track and field athletics, skiing, volley¬ball, speed-skating, swimming and figure-skating.
Our sportsmen have excellent sport facilities at their disposal - palaces of sports, stadiums, sportsground, gymnasiums, swimming- pools, tennis courts and excellent coaches.
