Способы перевода страдательных оборотов на русский язык.
1. При помощи глагола быть и краткой формы причастия страдательного залога: дом построен, дом был построен, дом будет построен.
2. Глаголами, оканчивающимися на –ся: дом строится, дом строился, дом будет строиться.
3. Неопределенно-личным оборотом с глаголом в действительном залоге в 3-м лице множественного числа: дом строят, дом строили, дом будут строить.
4. Безличным предложением: ему велено оставаться дома – He was told to stay at home.
Особенности употребления страдательных оборотов в английском языке.
1. В русском языке при превращении действительного оборота в страдательный только прямое дополнение действительного оборота может стать подлежащим параллельного ему страдательного оборота:
The doctor prescribed some medicine. Доктор прописал лекарство.
Some medicine was prescribed by the doctor. Лекарство было прописано доктором.
2. Страдательный оборот с косвенным дополнением в роли подлежащего является более употребительным:
