Экологическое бедствие в Керченском проливе
В эти дни внимание мировой прессы сосредоточено на Азово-Черноморском регионе, где в результате шторма произошел разлив мазута. Наблюдатели активно следят за поисково-спасательными работами в море, а также за координацией действий между Россией и Украиной. По оценкам экспертов, этим странам предстоит долго бороться с последствиями стихийного бедствия. Нефть, вылившаяся в воду, может загрязнить Черное море на 15 лет. Экологической обстановке в районе Черного моря угрожает самая серьезная опасность за много лет: свирепый шторм потопил пять судов, в том числе танкер с мазутом и два сухогруза, груженных серой. Кроме того, разбушевавшееся море выбросило на берег несколько барж с топливом, а более 20 моряков оказались за бортом. Как минимум 2 тыс. тонн мазута вылилось в воду из трюмов танкера, который разломился на две части в Керченском проливе, соединяющем Черное море с Азовским. Мазут опустится на дно моря. Вследствие этого Азовское море пропитается углеводородами. Это, в свою очередь, вызовет дефицит кислорода в воде, и местная уникальная фауна сильно пострадает. На загрязненной береговой линии гибнут перелетные птицы, которые несколько дней назад покинули среднюю полосу.

Work in groups of three. One of you is the head of the rescue team in the region where a serious oil leakage has happened. Other two are his colleagues. Role-play the meeting where you discuss possible actions to be taken in order to deal with this emergency.
