People have been travelling all over the world since ancient times. Surely in those times people were travelling mostly for the need of trade, while nowadays millions of people spend their holiday travelling abroad. Children and adults are dreaming about holidays in the foreign country, because they want to visit other continents, modern cities and the ruins of the ancient towns. People travel to enjoy picturesque places or just for a change of scenery. It is always interesting to discover new things, different ways of life, to meet different people, to taste different food or to listen to different musical rhythms.

Those people, who live in the countryside, usually travel to big cities, because they want to feel the wing-ding of the city, so they usually spend their holiday visiting museums and art galleries, going to the shops and dinning at the exotic restaurants, meanwhile city-dwellers, on the contrary, prefer restful holiday, somewhere in a quiet place where they would be able just to bathe and laze in the sun.

I suppose, everybody knows, that there are different types of rest and travelling, but the world constantly undergoes the process of changing, so new types of tours appear.

Today, I would like to tell you more about a very interesting type of travelling – a quest-tour. It is a brand new technique of travelling. A quest tour is an adventure and a new kind of an active tourism.

As a rule, participants of a quest tour have to move a lot, think a lot, make various decisions, find answers onto questions and puzzles, dive under the water, climb the mountains, even struggle, thus, such tours provoke extremely strong feelings and adrenalin. Participants of the game find themselves in a very unusual atmosphere, moreover, these games go in various foreign countries. Organizers try to make games in popular places and sights, so in such a way, participants can play and simultaneously get acquainted with the culture of this or that country.

The purpose of any quest-tour is to make lives of people interesting. There is a great number of people, who hate simply lying on the beach and catching tan, they adore having fun, adore adventures. Tourist attractions and Entertainment

Tourist attractions are very important for destination planning and development. The study of attractions generally has three major aspects: physical attractions, cultural attractions, theme attractions.

Natural (physical) attractions primarily include natural wonders and physical amenities. Natural wonders are the nationally or internationally recognized features and most spectacular physical features in the destination area, for example mountains, rivers, waterfalls and so on. Natural attractions draw travelers because of the beauty, recreation and inspiration they provide.

Cultural attractions are tangible and intangible forms of human cultures found in various parts of the world. They present the culture and history of the place and its people.

Theme parks are also called manmade attractions. Theme parks offer visitors a highly themed and packaged travel experience that is filled with fun, excitement and thrill. The two huge Disney enterprises, Disneyland in California and Disney world in Florida, are the most successful examples of this kind of created tourist attraction. From a commercial point of view, they have the enormous advantage as they are designed to appeal to entire family groups rather than to any particular age level. Education and patriotism have also been important themes for attraction development in recent years.

Familiarity and boredom are the enemies of tourism. This means that the entire range of amusement and entertainment available is an important factor in keeping the customers satisfied. The more variety is offered to tourists, the more pleased they are likely to be. So there are a lot of entertainments for tourists: games, dancing, costume parties, gambling and other different activities.
