Complex Object (Сложное дополнение)
I want to go there.
В этом примере два глагола (want, to go) связаны с одним действующим лицом — подлежащим (I).
I want him to go there.
I hate her to use these words. —
I allowed her to take the book. —
Если сказуемое выражено глаголом чувственного восприятия - to see — видеть, to hear — слышать, to feel — чувствовать, или глаголами to let — разрешать, to make — заставлять, то инфинитив после дополнения используется без частицы to например:
I heard your sister know English well.
We let him do it.
They made her come.
Complex Subject (Сложное подлежащее)
Не is known to be a good sportsman.
The text is said to be very difficult. —
to seem – казаться
to appear – казаться
to prove — оказываться
to happen — случаться
to be likely—вероятно
to be unlikely — маловероятно.
Например:
He seems to be a good worker. —
The text appears to be very interesting. —
I happened to meet him in the street. —
She is likely to come.
Не is unlikely to help me.
He proved to be a good friend. —
