You are planning to live in your own house. Describe the house of your dreams (9).

First of all I’d like to say that every person wants to have their own house. I’d like to live in a detached house in the suburbs of a big city. There’s a forest and a lake near my house. I dream about place like this because I prefer fresh air and I want to live in a quiet place which is surrounded with garden. The one of advantages is school which is situated near our home. So my children go on foot there. They love it very much. As for shops, they are in the center of city. It takes 20 minutes to get to the city. So my family and I, we go shopping twice a week by car.

As for my house, all the rooms have high ceilings and fitted carpets. I think, it’s good thing to have fitted carpets because thanks to it the floor is warm and my family can go barefoot. It’s also very convenient to have fitted wardrobes because they don’t take up a lot of room and there I can put many our clothes.

On the ground floor there’s a kitchen, a living room and utility room where my family can store garden articles, fishing tackle and home appliances.

The kitchen is a very large room with a big window. It’s cosy with all modern conveniences. We have cold and hot water, a fridge, a gas cooker, a microwave and a dishwasher. And certainly there’s a big table. It’s nice when all our family have diner or supper together.

The living room is a large room with an open fireplace. I love sitting by open fireplace and reading a book, it reminds me of my childhood, when I used to set by stove and drink some tea. There isn’t much furniture in it, just a sofa, a low table and chairs. The furniture has been chosen to match the style of the house, so there’s a lot of leather and light wood. The windows of this room face a small patio. It’s the best place where my children love playing.

A wide staircase takes to the first floor where there’re two bedrooms. One bedroom is for adults. There we have a wardrobe, a big bed and a small table with a mirror.

My children’s bedroom is light with many toys and sports equipment. Children are very active and they must have much of exercise.

This is my dream. And I hope that one day my dreams will come true.

All doctors talk that vigorous exercise actually reduces the chances of heart attack. I’m personally convinced of that. It is necessary to take 20 minutes of vigorous exercises at least two or three days a week to obtain some protection from heart attack.

There is a small risk of unaccustomed stress causing a heart attack when a person is a very unfit but this can be reduced if exercise is always increased in easy stages. If you are under 40, are healthy and feel well, you can begin by jogging gently until you are out of breath, then walking and alternating the two for about two miles. Build up the jogging in stages until you can do the whole distance comfortably. Two or three times a week will probably be enough. People over 40 who are in any doubt about their health should see their doctor before starting up exercise programme. Over 40s should begin by making a vigorous walk of at least two miles part of the daily routine. When you can do this comfortably you can start the mixed jogging and walking and progress from there. You will have to expЕct soreness of muscles and joint(сустав) to begin with. If soreness changes to pain or if you find that you suffer from deep tiredness which you cannot shake off, then stop jogging for a while and just walk.

If you follow these points, you will become a runner – without feeling like a failure. Best of all, you’ll begin to feel confident, healthy and attractive.
