Youth problems

I think that in Belarus we have the same problems as young people all over the world and some others. School, lessons, games, clubs, homework. A bell rings. But one day young boys and girls will be at school for the last time. And then they are confronted with difficulties. They must make a decision: to enter a university or try to find a job.

In Belarus it is hard to find well-paid work without working experience, and young people go to big cities to find a job or to get good education. Many young people want to enter university because they don’t want to work or go to the army in this time. Now people want to be well-educated, because now the majority of firms and companies employ only higher qualified people, but universities can’t educate all of them free, and parents have to pay for the education of their children. So those who don’t have enough money can’t get enough knowledge.

One of the main problems of young people is drugs. This is a relatively new problem but it is becoming more and more dangerous. Million young people today are using drugs, and most of them will die. Usually they want just to try it, then again and again… and after year may be two years they will die. Because there are no medicine to help you. That’s why never do it, if you do - it goes bad, very bad.

We also face the problem how to spend our free time. We can do it in different ways. Some of teenagers spend their free time in different night clubs. Other young people spend their free time in the streets. As for me, I spend my free time at home or with my friends.
